Toyota offers two engine options in this sports coupe:

- 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 with 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque
The 3.0 hustles from 0-60 in around 4 seconds, while the 2.0 takes an extra second or so to hit freeway speed. Not surprisingly, the inline-4 gives you moderately better gas mileage—25 city/32 highway compared to 22/30 in the 6-cylinder. And it comes in nearly $9k cheaper than the 3.0 trim. But if you have a serious need for speed, you’ll find good deals on the 3-liter models when you shop for used cars at your local dealership.
Now, if only we could get one with a manual transmission. While that’s on our “wouldn’t it be great to have…” list, it certainly isn’t a deal-breaker, especially with standard paddle shifters to make the drive more engaging.
