If you’ve seen the Chevrolet Trax in the past, you know this little SUV to be a bulbous and cartoonish model that has a fun and active style, but certainly doesn’t appear to be an SUV you can take seriously. A new model of this vehicle is scheduled to be offered in the 2020 model year, and the Trax has been caught in spy shots a few different times already. Now we see this SUV on the roads in testing garb that gives away more of what it might be when it arrives.
Taking on the Blazer Look
The most recent set of photos that were taken of the new 2020 Chevrolet Trax gives us an SUV that looks more like the Blazer than it has in the past. This newest view of the Trax is presented with less camo than in the past to let us see a front end that more closely resembles the larger Blazer and a two-tiered light setup in front with the slim LED DRL lights looking out from under the hood. This should give the Trax the mature appearance we want to enjoy when it’s time for a drive.
Sportier than in the Past
The Chevrolet Trax that’s running around with the skin-tight cladding attached to it, gives us the idea that it will be a stubby little crossover with wheels that are pushed to the corners. The wheel arches provide shallow overhangs and a little spoiler is hanging over the slanted rear window to give us a small SUV that does look even more like the Blazer. Dual exhaust ports are also visible from under the wrapping to let us have the idea this SUV could be looking to give us more performance on the road.
The Small Could be Mighty from Chevrolet
Yes, the new 2020 Chevrolet Trax could easily be a “baby Blazer” and it might even have more power and sporty features than it had in the past. As the smallest SUV in the Chevrolet family, it’s easy to understand that this little SUV could be the right choice for the drive you want to have and it would be offered with an efficient powertrain for your drive. So far, we don’t have any idea of what the engines will be when it shows up, but we hope to learn more soon.
When Can we Learn More about the New Trax
One of the places where the new Chevrolet Trax could be revealed for us to learn what we want about it is at the New YorkAuto Show next month. This might be the most likely place because GM is preparing to bring several new SUVs to this location. This new small crossover SUV will arrive before the end of this calendar year to be a new version of this SUV that we can enjoy when it’s time for a great drive. We will see this new SUV soon and when we do, we can finally learn all we want to about the 2020 Chevy Trax.
