The Infiniti QX50; Take My Money Now!

Previously Infiniti had shown off the QX50 concept but that version was seriously just a concept form. Recently this SUV made its way to the stage at the Detroit Auto Show and it certainly took the breath away of anyone in attendance. Not only is this new concept one that appears to be close to production ready, its smartly built, perfectly styled and a vehicle that you simply wanted to take home right now to begin living life with it. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait to have this vehicle on the market, but we can certainly discuss what it has to offer.
Even More Presence in the World
Everywhere you turn there seems to be Toyota vehicles that are built for the action in place. They have developed race cars for several different racing circuits; they sponsor several companies and organizations as the main sponsors for some sporting events and are now entering a new area of the world. In a recent announcement, Toyota is the new title sponsor of the USSA Grand Prix. This puts Toyota in the winter sports arena and will make it the title sponsor of these sports which will air in three events over this winter, one in December, January and February.
Waymo Takes Over the Partnership
Recent announcements were made that Google was putting its vehicular self-driving technology research and development under a new company name and moving it to the Alphabet holding company. This new company is called Waymo and one of the first questions to come out of this transition was whether or not Waymo would continue with the partnership that had been created with FCA to create self-driving Chrysler Pacifica minivans for the future. The answer is in and it’s a positive one with Waymo creating the minivans that will drive themselves and will be put on the roads by the end of 2017.

The midsize truck segment was reinvigorated by the release of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. Adding these two trucks back to the segment ensured the midsize truck market would be competitive once again. At the time it was easy for GM to reenter the market as a leader with many of the other models growing long in the tooth as older version of what had made them successful for many years. As GM quickly took over the market other brands began to take notice and begin updating their midsize trucks to continue the competitive spirit of what we want in our smaller trucks.

Taking the Tesla Model Even Farther
Several months ago Tesla unveiled the Summon feature for some of their vehicles and it seems this feature is about to be taken even farther. The Summon feature is one in which an owner can use a remote key fob and have the vehicle open the garage door, move itself into the driveway and be turned on with the climate controls running to give the owner the ability to enjoy heading out the front door to a warmed up or cooled down vehicle. This feature is so unique that another company is working to bring this along with other technologies to the Nashville area.
